This is a few days late, but I hope you’ll join me on a tour through some trades I read, some arcs I finished, and some prose books I found time to get through. So much fun!
Paul Smith brought his ‘A’ game to his brief time on the Uncanny X-Men, and Chris Claremont rose to the occasion, giving us one memorable comic after another!
It’s been a busy couple of weeks for comics news, and Paul and I are back with a brand new podcast to fill you in on everything that’s been going on, from the Image Expo to the Sandman Universe, from Marvel’s Fresh Start to Bendis’s Super-Books, and from IDW’s Transformers reboot to Boom! and Dynamite stepping up to the Eloi section of Previews.
These are comics you might have heard of. That might be a crazy guess, but there it is!
Yes, it’s that time again, when I review a bunch of trades and other stuff I might have gotten around to this month. Let’s boogie!
I see it more and more often these days: People complaining about politics in a creator’s stories. Usually, they’re offended because the creator’s politics don’t align with their own, but sometimes, they’re offended because there’s politics in there at all. It’s a dumb argument, because politics have always been a part of superhero comics.
I’ve been a bit derelict in reviewing comics, but it’s a new year and I’m trying to be better, so let’s take a look at trades I bought this month!
