Don’t worry, folks — we’re not disrupting our schedule in our second week. Greg Hatcher’s column will be up later today. In the meantime, I thought I’d give you a morning …
This was my first Batman comic book, and the first comic book I ever read, period. It’s the September 1978 issue, which means that it was on the stands in June.
Thanks to you all for showing up for the first week of the Atomic Junk Shop!
Thanks to streaming websites like Dramafever and Viki, anyone can stay abreast of current entertainment from South Korea, China, Japan, Vietnam, and other countries. So when promotions for China’s ‘Ice Fantasy’ began flashing, my eyes were not just drawn to them, they were boring a hole in the screen to see this fantasy drama NOW.
“When the dawn is come we will stand strong where we belong” A while ago, I backed the Broken Frontier Kickstarter, partly because editor Tyler Chin-Tanner is a cool dude …
I work at a retro toy and collectibles store in Los Angeles (Tarzana to be specific) called Big Kid Collectables! We see a lot of cool and weird stuff. Some items are so strange, so grotesque, so mind-bendingly heinous and stupid that I can’t let them go by without sharing them with you all.
I have terrible taste in music. At least that’s what I’ve been told. If I put my iTunes library on shuffle, it won’t be too long before somebody asks “What the hell is that?” Most of my favorite bands are on the weird side, as I have a perverse fondness for genre-bending, combining two or more styles of music into one ill-conceived creature that should not be.
