One of the great things about the DC/Marvel Omnibus books is that I appreciate the art better than I ever did in the comics themselves. For example, this Andru/Esposito sequence in Wonder Woman #114.
The story, “Monster Express,” starts with aliens kidnapping giant balloons from a Macy’s-style parade which they then weaponize. WW’s immediate concern, however, is that the trucks towing the balloons have been pulled up into the air with them.
Can she save them? Hey, she’s Wonder Woman!
The Silver Age Kanigher/Andru/Esposito run was far from WW’s high point, but I think that’s still pretty cool.
