In one of the late 1968 DC comics I’m currently working through I came across this ad (actually in several comics).
I remember seeing the add and thinking it looked cool. Don’t recall ever seeing the toys. Everything I know about them is less than I learned from Wikipedia. Apparently they didn’t make Transformers level sales but they have been subject to multiple nostalgia revivals.
Anyone ever play with them? Did I miss out on something that was popular or are they the same kind of trivia footnote as the Stone Men of Saturn?

I guess I don’t have many original comics from that time. I don’t remember that ad at all; but I know several 70s ad packages.
In the early 1970s, on a family shopping trip in Northampton (UK) we found them in a top shop. As my brother was bigger he got Zerak so I got Zobor.
I played quite a bit with Zobor
I don’t believe I saw them in a shop after that. Nor do I remember anyone else owning one.
To my surprise when I posted this article on FB, a friend of mine said she still had the blue Zeroid.
