It’s 2018 now and I’m going to try posting more often, dammit!
Even though I wanted to post more regularly last year, and did a two week run in October, I still haven’t gotten back into the swing of posting after that. What I’m going to try to do is post regularly again in 2018. Hopefully daily again. We’ll see how that goes.
I have plans for 2018. Certain categories I want to hit regularly, subsets within those categories that I want to do regularly. As of this writing, however, I’m disorganized as usual, so what I’ll be doing at the start is catching up on the books I’ve been reading lately and give you a rundown of what I’ve been reading. And I have a few posts about Saturday Night Live that I need to get going. I’m hoping to bang out a few of those and get back into the posting swing of things. We’ll see.
I’m also going to yoink a feature that Bill Reed did at the old place, which he called “Sunday Brunch”, but which I’ll probably call “Sunday Morning”, both because that’s when I’m hoping to post it, and it references the Velvet Underground. I’ll probably combine with that my yoinking of Chad Nevett’s old “Random Thoughts”, because I’m not on Twitter but some of the shit in my head is too good not to share with you. Or to punish you with. Who knows? Also, “yoink” is my new word for 2018. No, not really.
And if I go really crazy, I’ve got another feature in mind that I want to do regularly. We’ll see if that happens. If it does, I’ll clear up this semi-mysterious bit, and say “yeah, that’s the thing I was talking about”. So it doesn’t drive ya crazy.
So stay tuned in 2018 and see what I actually get done!
(And side note, we’re having some issues with loading images here on the site, so I’m not including any pictures here. I’ll probably update in a few days when things get fixed!)
