Having blogged a couple of times about Captain Action, the toy-turned-DC hero, I thought you might like to see him in his natural environment, the toy ad.
At the link, Jim Shooter says he felt frustrated by having to incorporate the toyline elements into the comic. I’m frankly astonished he wasn’t forced to include Captain Action’s lightning sword and Action Boy’s space-suit costume.
This next one strikes absolutely no chord in my memory. Not even as much as the Zeroids. What the heck, here it is anyway.

It’s Captain Action vs. Dr Evil that gets to me. I’m imagining the villain saying “I’ll sell your toy. For one. Billion. Dollars!”
