Like any con these days, there were cosplayers galore at the East Coast Comicon this past weekend. I took some shots of a few of my favorites.

The ‘Iron Fist’ Argument
Since everybody’s arguing about Iron Fist, it only makes sense that we here at Atomic Junk Shop should jump into the fray. I thought maybe the best thing to do would be to not get all whitesplainy, so instead of sounding off about my opinion of all this, I thought I’d do something sensible. So I looked through my Facebook list for friends who are geeks of Asian descent; we fired up a group chat and started talking.
Doctor Strange: Deleted Scenes
Marvel’s Doctor Strange was made available for Digital HD/3D download and at Disney Movies Anywhere on February 14, and the film will be on Blu-ray 3D™, Blu-ray, Digital SD, DVD and On-Demand next Tuesday, February 28. The Blu-ray and Digital releases come packaged with over 80 minutes of extra features and behind-the-scenes material. As a little preview, here’s a look at some of the bonus material you’ll get.
‘Doctor Strange’ Brings the Magic
Marvel’s Doctor Strange is exactly the kind of superhero movie we all wanted to see back when the ads were promising that we would “believe a man can fly.” The mystic warriors here do a lot more than fly, and it’s all visually stunning. Much more important than the eye candy, however, are the personalities involved, their histories and motivations, and the importance of what they are all fighting for or against. If those things don’t engage us, the amazing effects are just a digital fireworks display.
‘Doctor Strange’ Cast Speaks
The cast of Marvel’s Doctor Strange assembled at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills to discuss the film. Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen, Rachel McAdams, and Benedict Wong, producer Kevin Feige and director Scott Derrickson, were interviewed by Access Hollywood’s Scott Mantz and took questions from the audience.
